Translation
tick
Definition
A tick is a small, blood-sucking arachnid that attaches to the skin of animals and humans, often found in grassy or wooded areas. Ticks are external parasites that can transmit diseases such as Lyme disease and tick-borne encephalitis. They are typically brown or black and range in size from a pinhead to a pea when engorged. Unlike insects, ticks have eight legs and are related to spiders and mites. Removing a tick promptly and properly is important to reduce the risk of infection.
